That's right. I'm flying to Van Nuys, California this evening. I'll be spending Thanksgiving with my extended family on my mom's side. So don't be surprised if I don't log on as much, or if it takes me even longer to respond to your comments and/or notes. =/ I apologize for not replying to you guys sooner. A big part of the reason was homework overload, but now I can't use that as an excuse because all of my work is done.

Anyhow, hopefully I'll have computer access at the hotel. That way I can get back to people. I'm also hoping to write a story or two over break, - "Of Battles and New Chapters" and Sarah's birthday fanfic most likely - but whether or not I'm able to post the pieces on here is another story. I hope to the goddesses that I am! But it all depends on the technology available at our hotel.

Two more things...

First, if you're one of my readers, know that I will write either a short story or a fanfic for you on your birthday as a gift. YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO SAY IN THE MATTER! You may think I'm kidding, but I'm not. I really, REALLY appreciate everyone's support, sweet comments, and feedback. You have no idea how much they mean to me. The least I can do in return is write something in honor of your special day, whenever it crops up. Since this is the case, I request that all of my readers post their birthdays if/when they respond to this journal entry. (If you're a school friend of mine I already have your birthday, so you don't need to give it to me.) I'm going to create a birthday list with this information, and when it gets close to someone's birthday I'll write them their gift. I also reserve the right to write a short story or fanfic for you just because I want to, which is what I've done with my friend Jen in the past.

Second, if you're reading my work and you kind of just "joined in" on reading my short stories - say you started reading them randomly - that's going to be a bit of a disservice to you. Why? Well, you won't have the proper background on my characters. Zima and Quintessence, somehow, were quite lucky. They joined in and still gained a lot of knowledge on the characters through reading my subsequent works. But there have also been other people who thought (and rightfully so) that they should read some other stories first so they're not confused.

To try and prevent said confusion I'm going to create a small list of short stories that I highly recommend reading - if you haven't already - because they will give you all of the background that you need. I suggest that you read the stories in this particular order, too (if you decide to read them at all).

"The Crystal and Alex Files" Suggested Readings List
* "Always There V2" (DO NOT read the original version of "Always There". I made some very important revisions in the second draft and these should be read.)
* "Daddy's Little Princess"
* "TMI"
* "Drawing On Daddy"
* "Just Another Day in Paradise"

That's it. If you've already read all of these short stories then you're in the loop. If you haven't, well, you know what I think. They'll give you knowledge, and knowledge is power, my friend. Also, know that "Always There V2" and "Daddy's Little Princess" were written back in the "old days" - almost a year ago - when I still wrote in first person, so the pieces may not be as solid/polished as my current works. I still think they're pretty decent pieces, though. In addition, feel free to read the other stories in "The Crystal and Alex Files", but only if you're interested. They're not "required". And as always, comments are appreciated, but I won't whine and/or throw a bitch fit if I don't get them.
