I can't believe that I didn't create a journal entry for this three days ago. I guess it just slipped my mind. XP

Anyhow, having to judge was a big challenge. I didn't get tons of entries like I was hoping to, but people are really busy - including myself - so I understand completely. In spite of this, it was hard to pick a winner because all of the entries were fantastic! As a result, - and I hate to seem silly - everyone won. It was seriously that hard to pick! I just couldn't! (On the count of three everyone, say: "Eve is a wussy judge!" One... Two... Three!! XD ) I'm going to list all three winners along with their entries as well as some remarks about why I selected their pieces.

I love how ~quintessence424 incorporated features of both Will and Matt into her drawing of Kaley. Her complexion and hair color are clearly Will's, but her smile reminded me of Matt's smile - calm and content, subtly happy. That smile as well as Kaley's relaxed expression (her closed eyes) also show that quintessence paid careful attention to Kaley's personality - because that clearly isn't the expression of a child who just got done sneaking cookies from the kitchen pantry (-coughcough-Travis-coughcough-) and running around the house on a wild rampage. (Let the wild rumpus begin! ) Will's hoodie and the Pookie-looking teddy bear were also very nice touches - and the hoodie again, shows quintessence's careful attention to detail. She clearly remembered my tidbit about Kaley wearing her parent's sweaters from my journal, or she went back and read it.

Again, quintessence did an excellent job of including physical attributes of both parents. Travis has Matt's messy black hair - some people would've just made it black and might not have gone for messy like Matt's is - and Will's eyes. His "Whatever it is I didn't do it!" expression (as ~shorecowgirl put it) is PRICELESS. It totally fits his personality. And it might just be me, but I can picture Will getting the exact same look on her face in her good ole teenage years if Susan said her name in a firm tone of voice. She'd have the same panic in her big brown eyes and everything. So, quintessence nailed the genetics twice over! And I bet you all of the money in the most likely still dwindling U.S. economy that Travis pulled some sort of prank in the events prior to this drawing, and that's why he looks the way he does. XP

Now, Sarah beat herself up up the wazoo and criticized herself relentlessly over this drawing. Perhaps I'm too soft of a critic (I doubt it), but I think it looks great. First of all, Sarah nailed Lewis's style with the collared shirt and the sweater. It screams "stereotypical bookish boy", which suits his personality so well, and is very reminiscent of Taranee's studious/bookworm ways. She did excellently with careful attention to detail in this respect. The same goes with his glasses. Onto his facial structure. Sarah berated herself for Lewis's skin tone. Honestly, I think her attempt at a darker skin tone looks really good for someone who hasn't had a lot of experience with it. That feature as well as his hair has me convinced that if someone were to make an animated series including these nextgen kids (Like that will ever happen! XD) this is exactly what TaraneexNigel spawn would look like!

Blake's "I am not amused" expression reminds me of Cornelia so much that it isn't even funny. She'd get the same look on her face if Travis threw a humongous glob of mud at her when she's wearing one of her most treasured shirts. (Hale genetics = Win - in reference to the aforementioned expression.) Others might not view Blake's expression in that way, but that's how I saw it. Sarah mentioned that she drew Blake straightening out his beanie hat because he's a "goody-two-shoes", and she's right. That's demonstrated very well. And I think Cornelia and Caleb - Cornelia more so than Caleb, who honestly, would not give a crap - would dress their son in that style of clothing, which reminds me of the clothes at American Eagle. Expensive big brand name/designer stuff is the way she'd go with her kids. This is a nice, solid depiction.

Again, I love the messiness of his hair and how it resembles Matt's - the cowlicks! XD Travis's clothes are also very appropriate for his personality. They're comfortable, as they should be, because a wild, rambunctious boy like him isn't going to be running around in ubertight emo pants or Tripps ([link]). The pose/action Sarah chose for him is PERFECT. If it's snowing, Travis would be outside trying to start a snowball fight with Kaley or one of the neighbor kids. I'll say, "careful attention to detail" again and run the risk of sounding repetitive.

First of all, I LOVE the colors in this. They're vibrant, lovely, and they just POP - not relevant to the character design, but still... Second, Paige's clothing style reminds me a lot of Taranee's style in the animated series - Taranee was a well dressed bookworm. Her eyes and her shy, somewhat hesitant smile are extremely reminiscent of Taranee, too. Careful attention to detail, people. Again, if there were to be an animated series with my OCs, TxN's daughter would look exactly like this. Madi also did a fantastic job with skin tone, and Paige's pose - which is quite laid back and casual - makes me think of her easy going daddy.

Whew! That's it. Everyone did an excellent job, and I loved, loved, LOVED all of the entries! All three winners are going to have their entries featured in my upcoming fanfiction pieces. The winners also going to be featured in my next journal in which I pimp quite a few people on my watchlist for their FANTASTIC art skills!

I thought I'd share a couple of Policewomen of Broward County take-down videos with you guys.

BEFORE YOU CLICK THE LINK! The videos that I recommend are the third video on the playlist and the fifth. The policewoman in the third video is Detective Ana Murillo and the policewoman in the fifth video is Detective Andrea Penoyer. (She's my favorite cop in the show. Probably because she's really sarcastic with the criminals when they act stupid/say ridiculous things. And she doesn't take any shit. I mean, none of them do, but Andrea especially. I also like her because she reminds me of Will!) The fifth video is the take-down involving the four foot tall cannabis plants, which I mentioned in my journal "The Musings of a WxM Fangirl".

~broadway-luv, I know you said your parents won't let you watch this show, but the video clips that I'm recommending don't include any footage of prostitution arrests. They're drug related take-downs. I don't know how your parents would feel about you watching that. So, it's up to you. If you want to watch the videos, watch them. If you don't, then don't.

And just for the record, these videos are more than a little inspiring. Don't be surprised if I write a drabbleshot emulating both of these take-downs to a certain extent. No copyright infringement will be intended of course.

...Who downloads my fanfics and short stories? I'm not asking because I want my ego fed or anything (mind you, I do appreciate the downloads greatly and it's very flattering!), but when I re-check my work for typos, or need to refer to a chain of comments in order to write a response, I sometimes notice the amount of downloads (which aren't many, but still...) and I become curious.

So, if you've ever downloaded a writing piece of mine, then speak up! And again, out of curiosity, would you mind telling me which fics or stories you've downloaded?

...I hope to the goddesses that you fix my typos if you copy and paste the text into a word document. More often than not, I don't catch some of my typos until I've given the stories a third check just to make sure (usually when it's in deviation form XP) and at that point some people have already downloaded them. And then I feel like an idiot! XD

On an unrelated note, I'll respond to any and all comments later this weekend or on Monday or Tuesday. I'm rather exhausted. My class as well as the junior class spent the entire day up in Boulder at CU Boulder (University of Colorado at Boulder) because we're attending the Bioneers Conference. It's a school related field trip - we're learning about agricultural sustainability this year. Instead of leaving the conference at 2:20 to get back to the school by 3:00 - which is when we normally get out of school - we're not leaving until 5:20 in order to get back 6:00. (Some of the programs and events that are relevant to our topic of study take place later in the day.) So, yep, as I mentioned, I'm pretty tired. I'll be doing this for the next two days, too. And then we'll get Monday and Tuesday off as compensation days, since the trip is school related, thus, it counts as school. Anyhow, as a result, I have lost some spare time. I'll get back to you all asap, though. Know that I still love you!

Yeah, that's right. I have more WxM related questions. Don't think I can't hear your agonized groans! XP I feel bad for you guys 'cause you probably struggle to keep up with me and my crazy mind, and how fast and frequently it generates questions - it happens at the speed of light. (I feel even worse for those of you who read my journals, think: "Eve is a nutcase! What is her problem?!", and then don't respond.) I don't think there should be as many as there were in my previous journal, but when I have to ask, I have to ask. I can't help it... Anyhow, one or two of these aren't going to have solid answers supplied by yours truly, so I'll definitely "ooh" and "aahh" at your opinions. Now, on to the goods!

* Where would Will and Matt go for their honeymoon?

I have no clue. It'd have be somewhere with warm weather; there's no question about that. Considering that Will hates skiing, I'm guessing that snow isn't her favorite type of weather. We haven't heard her complain about it in the animated series, and she certainly wasn't griping in "Prelude" when Matt proposed to her in the snow, but I think that she'd prefer a destination with temperate conditions. This way she and Matt could go swimming - and we all know how much Will loves swimming - and relax instead of being uptight and worrying about having to stay warm. They could just kick back and chill, but not have to do so in an environment that is "chill", if you catch my silly pun. XD

I was thinking Italy would be a cool honeymoon spot, but I sort of picked that by default. It was the first thing that came to mind. Besides, I've already had Crystal and Alex journey to Italy a couple of times - not for their honeymoon - so I should definitely pick a different destination. Ummm... Maybe a tropical island of some sort? What about the Bahamas? Or is that cliche and stupid? XD What do you guys think? My only stipulation is that it's a warm location - for obvious reasons.

* Would Will wear a wedding dress at her wedding?

Yessireebob. At least, in my W.i.t.c.h.-verse she would. This is because of Will's character development and how it led to her being open to wearing girly clothing. Or clothing that's girlier than what she used to wear in her pre-teen and teenage years - although, I must say, in season two Will was wearing some very cute and stylish outfits. I can definitely see Will wearing a wedding dress.

The only thing is that Will doesn't strike me as the type of bride that would go for the traditional white dress. I think she'd be okay with the traditional style, but I can also see her going for something more daring and unique. My reason for this? She's Will. And she IS daring and unique. If Will did decide to buy a regular white dress I think she'd be really laid back about it. She wouldn't try on a hundred dresses - unlike Cornelia, who'd be the queen of picky and would try on every damn dress in the stockroom! Will would select a dress that is nice, simple, affordable, flattering, and most importantly, something that suits her. If she chose to go the second route, I could see her wearing a light blue wedding gown. She'd really look pretty in that color and I can see her liking it. (Just for the record, I'd be the freak that'd go for a lavender wedding dress if I went non-traditional! ) I can totally see Will wearing something like this: [link] Thoughts? Ideas? I'm settled on the second option and the dress that I provided the link to, but that doesn't mean that I don't want to hear what you think.

Now this wedding dress business brings up yet another question, but it's a minor one, so I won't bold it. Who would Will take with her when she goes shopping for her dress? The obvious answer is the "I.t.c.h." in "W.i.t.c.h." and Susan (and maybe Elyon if she could come over from Meridian?), but I'm not sure that Will would want to have to put up with Cornelia's snippy criticisms and opinions when she's going wedding dress shopping. Will would want the day to go smoothly instead of something that might turn into a drama-fest. Or she would be fine with Cornelia's opinions and she'd easily deal with it by laughing it off and telling her to shut it or something - and Cornelia would do so if she knew what was good for her. The other girls would help keep her in check, too. Particularly Irma. XP

Speaking of Irma, I think she'd articulate her opinions tactfully unless the bridal consultant had Will try on a dress that was just godawful - perhaps a cake dress if you know what I mean - in which case all the girls would be making fun of it, including Will herself. XD "Oh yeah, Will, Matt will eat you up once he sees you in that dress!" That would be Irma obviously. Or maybe Hay Lin. Yesss, my mind is in the gutter this evening. ...And now I'm getting lovely mental images of the girls making fun of some of the rather not-so-nice-looking dress selections that the bridal consultant is making Will try on. Big, poofy ballgown style dresses and the like.

Back to Corny. I think Will would let her come along if she agreed to monitor herself, and Will and the other girls would silence her if she slipped.

As for Matt, I can see him wearing the traditional tux, but maybe something that's semi-informal. Do you get what I mean by that? It'd be nice, but it wouldn't be super, super fancy. And he'd inevitably faint at the sight of Will in her gorgeous blue dress. Kidding.

Oh! And I already told ~quintessence424 this, but I think Will and Matt would have a cake fight at their wedding! I think both Will and Matt would have a pretty relaxed attitude towards their fancy apparel getting messed up because of cake. They could always take their clothes to the laundromat, and voila, problem solved! I can totally see Matt, Will, Irma, and Caleb ganging up on Cornelia and ruining her oh-so-gorgeous bridesmaid's dress! And her heels, too! You CAN'T forget about her heels!

Anyway, all of these WxM wedding related questions and musings is the result of watching one too many episodes of "Say Yes to the Dress" on TLC.

The last thing that I wanted to bring up is something ridiculously minor. Still, I want to discuss it. I've always liked the idea of Will growing her hair out in her later teenage years (that fondness dates back to summer of '08); hence why she was wearing it in a pony tail in "Evening Walks". Since then, you've probably noticed from my descriptions of Will that I switch back and forth in between Will having shoulder length hair and Will having her usual chin length bob that we see in the animated series. It all depends on the given fanfic and the time period. I really don't like having to explain things like that in my character descriptions, but I'll continue to because I don't have much of a choice. Just so you know, though, I think her hair would be shoulder length in her cop years - when she's 22 to 30 - so she could tie it up in a pony tail. This is for convenience reasons. Will can't have her hair in her face when she's kicking bad guy ass.
